The idea for CrossPole came to us when we were visiting a set in Venice.

The lack of ceilings or floor to support the equipment over the canals that were being filmed made us dream of a new product that could overcome the difficulties and limitations of the location.

The result was the CrossPole: a support system as simple as it is useful!

MAGFIBER Carbon Fibre Tripods launched

Manfrotto have release the new MDEVE series of MAGFIBER Video Tripods- available for purchase now, in Australia.

The 756MF3 & 755MF3 are the most innovative tripods in the MDEVE range due to their combination of low weight (Carbon Fibre for the legs / Magnesium die casting) and high load capacity materials used for its construction. Their unique, patent-pending aluminium centre column construction with precision machine red anodised aluminium 50mm levelling ball system is locked by a detachable rotating grip at the bottom of the centre column, this allows the camera operator to level the camera and even adjust is height, without the need to make micro adjustments to each tripod leg.

The crown castings of the 756MF3 & 755MF3, which are constructed of magnesium, also allow for the centre column to be horizontally mounted.

You can purchase the 756MF3 & 755MF3 in system kits with the 700RC2, 701RC2, 501 & 503 heads & carry bag.

Manfrotto Introduces the 595B Fig Rig

Mike Figgis (director of Oscar®-winning film Leaving Las Vegas) told us he had an idea for a totally new alternative to the tripod or to hand held filming, and that he wanted to develop his idea with Manfrotto.

Manfrotto Introduces New Hi-Hat

Manfrotto 529B: Hi Hat

The 529B Hi Hat enables you to get shots from the lowest possible position.

The 529B features adjustable leg angles to mount the camera in the tightest or lowest of locations, and with its built-in spreader, can be used on any surface.

The feet are rubber padded to protect delicate surfaces and have a hole so that the 529B can be screwed to a ladder, apple box or a sheet of wood.

Manfrotto Introduces a New Fluid Head

Manfrotto 519: Pro Video Fluid Head

Not all cameras weigh the same, but this head will support and balance an incredibly wide range: from Mini-DV cameras of only 1 kg to professional grade DV cameras weighing up to 10 kg.

Professionals have as many equipment options as they do shooting styles, utilizing a wide range of different cameras including MINI DV, DVCAM, HD, ENG. When using numerous accessories, many of these set-ups can quickly overload video heads above the maximum recommended weight.

Understanding the problem that professional Videographers face, Manfrotto has developed the 519, a compact, yet heavy duty fluid video head capable of accommodating a counterbalance payload from 1.5 kg up to 9 kg, thanks to a world first of interchangeable AND adjustable counter-balance springs.

Combining both features will allow Videographers to easily interchange a vast array of cameras of various weights as well as quickly fine tune the perfect balance point of whatever camera being used, all with just one head!

In addition, fluid drag is easily controlled with a large click-stop numbered knob in seven increments. Drag can be adjusted from the highest possible setting to nearly zero drag, allowing for the finest control through 360º pan and +90º to -90º tilt.
